[Alex Popov] is a living link from the mid-century Danish genius of Utzon and Larsen to Australian architecture today. His forms are gutsy, unapologetic, occupying the land with gusto. At the same time there’s an easiness to them, a coexistence with the landscape that makes them inherently laidback.

If he has guiding principles, Popov reckons they are that: “Nature is fundamental, the past is important, a sense of humility is essential.”
